Dilly Dally is a series of five paintings. Each a cowboy on horseback rendered in silhouette against a single field of color. Originating from a ranch in Ogden Valley, cowboys stand atop a hill after a days work of herding cattle.
Rooted in the outdoors. Reimagined on canvas.
I’m Cassady. I spend a lot of time chasing fish and then painting them later.
What started as a way to remember days on the water turned into this: breaking down color, pattern, and movement into something structured and a little obsessive (in the best way).
These pieces are built from that rhythm. Slowing down. Paying attention.
Taking something wild and turning it into something intentional you can live with.
